Friends Interpreting Services are hiring qualified certified staff and freelance interpreters for the deaf in Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, California and the District of Columbia.

We are looking for interpreters with the following language and communication skills:

ASL (American Sign Language)
PSE (Pidgin Signed English)
SEE (Signing Exact English)
Oral
Tactile interpreting for Deaf and blind people
CART (Communication Access Real Time)

Customer Service

FIS’s primary goal is to create a bridge between the deaf and hearing worlds to break down barriers; therefore, customer service is a top priority. FIS provides services in a variety of settings, such as medical (physical and mental), legal, educational, governmental (federal and state), vocational, religious, and more.

The more versatile an interpreter is, the better. Our customers expect and deserve high quality sign language services from FIS.
